Divine Beginnings

Candice Olson Workshop, High Point, NC, 2007

Being inspired by HGTV's Candice Olson to pursue a lifelong interest in design, it came full circle when meeting Candice twice while attending her workshop in North Carolina in 2007.

I left a more traditional business path of employment to join the team at Bassett in Little Rock in 2005 as a design consultant with no professional design background.  By the time I left three years later, I was the store's visual merchandiser and accessories buyer.

I joined Cleo's Furniture and their 14-store company in January 2009.  Within four years I was honored to be offered the management position of the company's largest store in Hot Springs, Arkansas,

I am currently proud to have joined Haverty's Furniture at 2616B S. Shackleford Rd., in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Haverty's is the nation's oldest furnishings retailer and is consistently ranked by the country's leading business periodicals as being one of the most trustworthy companies in the U.S.  I can state without doubt, Haverty's puts quality and service above all else.  We offer the most advanced complimentary in-home design services available anywhere in Arkansas.

Global Influences

Travels abroad deepen the geographical and cultural understanding of the roots of style.

During my travels to New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, and other world capitals, elements of my design concepts have been culturally deepened and broadened.  From the simplicity and modern nature of Scandinavian design to the rustic charm of the French countryside to victorian England, a truly unique space can be created when the most striking elements of these are integrated.  Contrasts in textures, finishes, and colors build interest in a way that motivates an observing eye to move through a room.  Creating a look that is both striking and functional for the modern American home can begin by looking abroad.
